Oriana LaVilla, a professional career coach, smiling warmly while seated in a bright, inviting workspace.

Welcome, I’m Oriana — coach & facilitator working with people and teams to improve their experience of work.

I support professionals at pivotal points in their careers — whether they’re navigating a career change, stepping into a new role, or reevaluating what fulfilling work looks like now.

My background

Over my professional life, I’ve built a career spanning peacebuilding, conflict mediation, and organizational development in the nonprofit sector, as well as research, facilitation, and entrepreneurship. Along the way, I’ve experienced and successfully navigated multiple career pivots and life transitions, which ultimately led me to coaching.

My path to coaching began during one of those transitions, when I faced intense overwhelm and burnout. At the time, I didn’t have the tools or support to manage the stress and uncertainty I was experiencing. Working with a professional coach was transformative — it helped me recover my sense of agency, see my own emotional resilience, and chart a path forward that felt aligned with who I am and how I want to show up in the world.

The deeper why behind my work

I coach because I believe that how we work – and how we feel at work – matters. We spend so much of our lives working, and finding work that fits us and enables us to do our best work can transform not only our careers but our well-being. By supporting people to create careers that align with who they are and how they want to live their lives, I hope to contribute to reshaping work for a new era — one that values care, connection, and shared responsibility for creating the kind of world we want to live in.

In addition to 1:1 coaching, I co-founded Emotions at Work with my friend and fellow coach Tomomi Sasaki where we lead a group program and team workshops to help our clients develop their emotional literacy and unlock higher levels of professional growth and satisfaction.
